The Truth About Limits

Under my breath I whispered,

"I cannot hand it over to you."

Through soft tears, I spoke,

"I cannot take away your pain."

And, in my heart I said,

"I can only walk with you. The rest is in your hands."

It is hard to know the limits to love.
