There are times,

usually at night,

the darkness rushes in and claims everything.

Everything is dull,

so fucking cold,

very bare.

At the lowest point, I sense home,

familiar ground,

reminding me that this shadow place is,

has been,

and feels to always be my reality.

If you ever find me in this space,

hold me 'til the sun comes,

brightening away

this cold, returned shadow place.
